Today marks a major milestone at Solarport as we officially launch our dedicated installation subsidiary SPS PowerBuild, created to deliver precise, high quality installation services across the UK and Ireland.
SPS PowerBuild is not just an installation partner. It is a specialist, purpose-built team trained to transform how solar mounting systems and carports are installed on site.
At Solarport, how the structure is installed is just as important as how it is engineered. SPS PowerBuild has been established as a extension of Solarport, sharing the same engineering knowledge, project values and quality expectations. This fully integrated approach allows us to deliver installations that match design intent, while maintaining strict safety standards and accelerating programme delivery.
From groundwork to final fix, SPS PowerBuild will ensure that every structure is built exactly as it should be, with no compromise, no ambiguity and no shortcuts.
Installation is where design becomes reality. It is where performance, safety and commercial value are secured.

Solarport’s CEO, Liam Tattershall says “SPS PowerBuild strengthens our position as a complete solar infrastructure provider. We design with precision, and now we install with the same level of control and accountability. By bringing installation in-house, we create a seamless link between engineering and delivery, ensuring every project is executed exactly as it was intended. This is about protecting quality at every stage, reducing risk for our clients, and delivering projects that perform exactly as promised, both technically and commercially.”
Chris Burd has joined SPS PowerBuild as Managing Director, bringing extensive experience in delivering complex solar projects. He shares our commitment to engineering excellence, safety and quality, and will help SPS PowerBuild establish a new standard for installations across the UK and Ireland.
Managing Director of SPS PowerBuild, Chris Burd says
“I am incredibly proud to be joining SPS PowerBuild, a subsidiary of Solarport, that is already recognised for engineering excellence and innovation in the solar industry.
We are not just installers, we deliver systems that have been designed, engineered, and manufactured by Solarport.
This close alignment between product and installation allows us to raise standards across every stage of a project. We benefit from shared expertise, streamlined communication and a unified commitment to quality, safety and performance. For our clients, that means greater confidence, greater efficiency and an integrated approach from concept through to completion.”

As Solarport embarks on this next stage, SPS PowerBuild is set to redefine what clients can expect from solar installations. By combining Solarport’s engineering expertise with a dedicated, specialist installation team, we are raising the bar for quality, safety, and efficiency across every project.
