Factory Operative

THE ROLE

Main responsibilities include:

• Setting and operating machinery including but not limited to: rolling mills, press brakes and power press

• Carrying out inspections and quality control of products

• Completing paperwork as required

• Working to set production schedules

• Material handling and packing

• Assembly work

• Conforming to all health and safety requirements

• Keeping excellent health and safety records

• Continuous improvement of processes and tools, including support to company change initiatives

• Good housekeeping

 

ABOUT YOU
Prerequisites:

• Experience in setting and operating machines

• Able to read and understand engineering drawings

• Good communication skills

• Good engineering aptitude

• Flexible with working hours and able to do shift work

• A team player able to work with colleagues to achieve collective goals

• Flexible and helpful attitude
